From 2013 to October 2016, he was the general director of the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).
Miguel is currently a collaborator of the Organization of American States (OAS), having participated in the definition of national cybersecurity strategies of several countries in the region. In addition, he has contributed to the definition of the National Plan of Cybersecurity of Spain.
He is a regular contributor to masters, media and national and international cybersecurity forums, and has been co-director and founder of the Master of Government of Cybersecurity at the School of Telecommunications Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and professor at the Higher School of War of Colombia (ESDEGUE). He is currently a professor in the Cybersecurity Master's Degree at the Instituto de Empresa (International Business School).
Miguel has held management positions at EY and Deloitte, and ONO Telecommunication company. Previously, he occupied destinations related to the management of information systems and cybersecurity in the Navy and the Ministry of Defense of Spain.
He is also Lieutenant Colonel of the Spanish Navy and has different postgraduate degrees and certifications related to the government and management of ICTs and cybersecurity. In addition, he is a partner and CEO of iHackLabs, a company specialized in the development of cyber-range platforms for training and simulation in cybersecurity.
