Un informe de INCIBE recoge la situación de malware en Android

Android has reached over 1,000 million users, making it undoubtedly the most used mobile platform. This is one of the main reasons why it has become the biggest victim of cybercriminal attacks, encompassing 99% of malware developed for mobile platforms.

Carrying out an in-depth analysis of the technical characteristics of malware or the malicious applications that affect users was vital and the Spanish National Cibersecurity Institute, INCIBE and HISPASEC have done just that, elaborating a joint report that encompasses a multitude of technical aspects relating to these kinds of threats.

The objective of the report is to identify common aspects in both of the fields studied and thereby improve detection systems with the aim of reducing their impact and the exposure of users.

A total of 76,000 samples of malicious applications obtained in the final semester of 2014 have been collected and analyzed with the collaboration of HISPASEC.
