Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2021-22138

Publication date:
13/05/2021
In Logstash versions after 6.4.0 and before 6.8.15 and 7.12.0 a TLS certificate validation flaw was found in the monitoring feature. When specifying a trusted server CA certificate Logstash would not properly verify the certificate returned by the monitoring server. This could result in a man in the middle style attack against the Logstash monitoring data.

CVE-2021-22137

Publication date:
13/05/2021
In Elasticsearch versions before 7.11.2 and 6.8.15 a document disclosure flaw was found when Document or Field Level Security is used. Search queries do not properly preserve security permissions when executing certain cross-cluster search queries. This could result in the search disclosing the existence of documents the attacker should not be able to view. This could result in an attacker gaining additional insight into potentially sensitive indices.

CVE-2021-22136

Publication date:
13/05/2021
In Kibana versions before 7.12.0 and 6.8.15 a flaw in the session timeout was discovered where the xpack.security.session.idleTimeout setting is not being respected. This was caused by background polling activities unintentionally extending authenticated users sessions, preventing a user session from timing out.

CVE-2021-22135

Publication date:
13/05/2021
Elasticsearch versions before 7.11.2 and 6.8.15 contain a document disclosure flaw was found in the Elasticsearch suggester and profile API when Document and Field Level Security are enabled. The suggester and profile API are normally disabled for an index when document level security is enabled on the index. Certain queries are able to enable the profiler and suggester which could lead to disclosing the existence of documents and fields the attacker should not be able to view.

CVE-2021-29623

Publication date:
13/05/2021
Exiv2 is a C++ library and a command-line utility to read, write, delete and modify Exif, IPTC, XMP and ICC image metadata. A read of uninitialized memory was found in Exiv2 versions v0.27.3 and earlier. Exiv2 is a command-line utility and C++ library for reading, writing, deleting, and modifying the metadata of image files. The read of uninitialized memory is triggered when Exiv2 is used to read the metadata of a crafted image file. An attacker could potentially exploit the vulnerability to leak a few bytes of stack memory, if they can trick the victim into running Exiv2 on a crafted image file. The bug is fixed in version v0.27.4.

CVE-2021-32919

Publication date:
13/05/2021
An issue was discovered in Prosody before 0.11.9. The undocumented dialback_without_dialback option in mod_dialback enables an experimental feature for server-to-server authentication. It does not correctly authenticate remote server certificates, allowing a remote server to impersonate another server (when this option is enabled).

CVE-2021-32918

Publication date:
13/05/2021
An issue was discovered in Prosody before 0.11.9. Default settings are susceptible to remote unauthenticated denial-of-service (DoS) attacks via memory exhaustion when running under Lua 5.2 or Lua 5.3.

CVE-2021-32921

Publication date:
13/05/2021
An issue was discovered in Prosody before 0.11.9. It does not use a constant-time algorithm for comparing certain secret strings when running under Lua 5.2 or later. This can potentially be used in a timing attack to reveal the contents of secret strings to an attacker.

CVE-2021-32917

Publication date:
13/05/2021
An issue was discovered in Prosody before 0.11.9. The proxy65 component allows open access by default, even if neither of the users has an XMPP account on the local server, allowing unrestricted use of the server's bandwidth.

CVE-2021-20535

Publication date:
13/05/2021
IBM Jazz Reporting Service 6.0.6.1, 7.0, 7.0.1, and 7.0.2 is vulnerable to server-side request forgery (SSRF). This may allow an authenticated attacker to send unauthorized requests from the system, potentially leading to network enumeration or facilitating other attacks. IBM X-Force ID: 198834.

CVE-2021-20221

Publication date:
13/05/2021
An out-of-bounds heap buffer access issue was found in the ARM Generic Interrupt Controller emulator of QEMU up to and including qemu 4.2.0on aarch64 platform. The issue occurs because while writing an interrupt ID to the controller memory area, it is not masked to be 4 bits wide. It may lead to the said issue while updating controller state fields and their subsequent processing. A privileged guest user may use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host resulting in DoS scenario.
