Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2019-3888

12/06/2019
A vulnerability was found in Undertow web server before 2.0.21. An information exposure of plain text credentials through log files because Connectors.executeRootHandler:402 logs the HttpServerExchange object at ERROR level using UndertowLogger.REQUEST_LOGGER.undertowRequestFailed(t, exchange)

CVE-2019-1069

Publication date:
12/06/2019
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way the Task Scheduler Service validates certain file operations. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain elevated privileges on a victim system.<br /> To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker would require unprivileged code execution on a victim system.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by correctly validating file operations.

CVE-2019-1064

Publication date:
12/06/2019
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when Windows AppX Deployment Service (AppXSVC) improperly handles hard links. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run processes in an elevated context. An attacker could then install programs; view, change or delete data.<br /> To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application that could exploit the vulnerability and take control of an affected system.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows AppX Deployment Service handles hard links.

CVE-2019-1065

Publication date:
12/06/2019
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Windows kernel fails to properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.<br /> To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application to take control of an affected system.<br /> The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Windows kernel handles objects in memory.

CVE-2019-3873

Publication date:
12/06/2019
It was found that Picketlink as shipped with Jboss Enterprise Application Platform 7.2 would accept an xinclude parameter in SAMLresponse XML. An attacker could use this flaw to send a URL to achieve cross-site scripting or possibly conduct further attacks.

CVE-2019-3872

Publication date:
12/06/2019
It was found that a SAMLRequest containing a script could be processed by Picketlink versions shipped in Jboss Application Platform 7.2.x and 7.1.x. An attacker could use this to send a malicious script to achieve cross-site scripting and obtain unauthorized information or conduct further attacks.

CVE-2019-3875

Publication date:
12/06/2019
A vulnerability was found in keycloak before 6.0.2. The X.509 authenticator supports the verification of client certificates through the CRL, where the CRL list can be obtained from the URL provided in the certificate itself (CDP) or through the separately configured path. The CRL are often available over the network through unsecured protocols (&amp;#39;http&amp;#39; or &amp;#39;ldap&amp;#39;) and hence the caller should verify the signature and possibly the certification path. Keycloak currently doesn&amp;#39;t validate signatures on CRL, which can result in a possibility of various attacks like man-in-the-middle.

CVE-2019-1051

Publication date:
12/06/2019
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that the Chakra scripting engine handles objects in memory in Microsoft Edge (HTML-based). The vulnerability could corrupt memory in such a way that an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the current user. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could take control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.<br /> In a web-based attack scenario, an attacker could host a specially crafted website that is designed to exploit the vulnerability through Microsoft Edge (HTML-based) and then convince a user to view the website. The attacker could also take advantage of compromised websites and websites that accept or host user-provided content or advertisements. These websites could contain specially crafted content that could exploit the vulnerability.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by modifying how the Chakra scripting engine handles objects in memory.

CVE-2019-1054

Publication date:
12/06/2019
A security feature bypass vulnerability exists in Edge that allows for bypassing Mark of the Web Tagging (MOTW). Failing to set the MOTW means that a large number of Microsoft security technologies are bypassed.<br /> In a web-based attack scenario, an attacker could host a malicious website that is designed to exploit the security feature bypass. Alternatively, in an email or instant message attack scenario, the attacker could send the targeted user a specially crafted .url file that is designed to exploit the bypass. Additionally, compromised websites or websites that accept or host user-provided content could contain specially crafted content to exploit the security feature bypass. However, in all cases an attacker would have no way to force a user to view attacker-controlled content. Instead, an attacker would have to convince a user to take action. For example, an attacker could entice a user to either click a link that directs the user to the attacker&amp;#39;s site or send a malicious attachment.<br /> The security update addresses the security feature bypass by correcting how Edge handles MOTW tagging.
