The Colombian Banking Association and Financial Entities – Asobancaria, with over 80 years of history, has been a key player in representing and defending the interests of the Colombian banking sector. Our mission has been to promote public trust in the financial system, driving initiatives that enhance the sector's security and stability.
At 18ENISE, Asobancaria proudly presents its Financial CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), a pioneering initiative in the region, recognized as the first collaborative incident response team for the banking industry. This innovative project aims to strengthen the community of cyber intelligence exchange by establishing an organized approach to incident management and encouraging the sector's participation in global cybersecurity communities. Currently, 29 financial institutions, representing 91% of the sector's assets, are integrated into our platform.
Asobancaria's goals at 18ENISE include:
- Strengthening Strategic Alliances: Establish and solidify relationships with international cybersecurity organizations to share best practices and advanced technologies that reinforce the security of the Colombian financial sector.
- Promoting Cybersecurity Innovation: Explore and adopt new technologies and approaches in cybersecurity, driving innovation within the financial sector to anticipate and mitigate emerging threats.
- Developing Global Capabilities: Expand the capabilities of the Financial CSIRT on an international level, positioning it as a regional leader and fostering its participation in global cyber intelligence exchange networks.
- Advancing Education and Awareness: Promote cybersecurity training and awareness programs for financial institutions, aiming to elevate the level of preparedness and response to potential incidents.

Leonardo Lemes
Leonardo Lemes Fagundes is an entrepreneur and university professor specializing in cybersecurity, with over 20 years of professional experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Computing and a Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis, both from the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS). Leonardo is a founding partner and Director of Cybersecurity at Service IT Security, a company with operations in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
In academia, he serves as a coordinator and professor for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Cybersecurity at UNISINOS. Additionally, he teaches postgraduate courses in Business Administration (MBA) and Engineering (MBE). He is also an instructor at the Escola Superior de Redes, affiliated with the National Research and Educational Network (RNP).
Leonardo holds international certifications in risk management (CRISC), business continuity (CBCP), and is a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. His extensive experience in the field makes him a dedicated educator with a mission to advance knowledge and practice in cybersecurity.
Mauricio Cantergiani
Mauricio Cantergiani is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with over 23 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as the Chief Cyberdefense Officer at Redbanc S.A., he is responsible for overseeing and implementing the company’s comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the protection of digital assets, and managing risks across all business units.
Mauricio has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to safeguard against evolving cyber threats. His expertise spans across Compliance, data protection and global cybersecurity standards like PCI and ISO. He has been instrumental in driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies enhancing the organization’s security posture.
Mauricio holds a Master’s degree in Information Security from Universitat de Barcelona, Executive MBA and several industry certifications, including CISM, CBCP and PCI-P. He is an active member of some of those organizations chapters.
Eder Oliveira
I have built my career in IT management, with a strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and security. My expertise spans across defining and sustaining mission-critical environments, governance, risk management, and compliance. I have a comprehensive understanding of IT processes, including architecture, infrastructure, and system development.
Currently, as Chief Security Officer (CISO) at Nstech, I lead the development of a robust cybersecurity strategy, overseeing risk mitigation, crisis management, and business continuity. My primary challenge is driving a unified cybersecurity framework across 37 companies within the Nstech group, ensuring consistent protection against both internal and external threats. This involves coordinating with multiple teams, standardizing security protocols, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Throughout my career, I have successfully led teams, restructured technical areas, and implemented improvements that drive operational excellence. My practical knowledge of industry best practices, such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO standards, enables me to navigate complex IT landscapes and deliver tangible results that enhance both security and business outcomes.
With a proven track record of managing critical IT functions and delivering on key objectives, I am dedicated to advancing Nstech’s cybersecurity posture and safeguarding its extensive network of companies.
Abdul Salam
Abdul Salam Knio is the Managing Partner at Information and Communication Technology W.L.L. (ICT) in Qatar, a leading digital systems integrator and a prominent member of the Midis Group. In this role, Mr. Knio leads digital business transformation initiatives, helping organizations leverage the digital economy and address the challenges of digital disruption. His expertise includes developing innovative digital use cases, enhancing cybersecurity (covering cloud and multi-cloud environments), managing IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring effective governance, and implementing data platforms, generative AI, data lakes, and data mesh. His work spans multiple industries such as BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, service providers, government, and energy.
With over 30 years of experience in business and technology, Mr. Knio has a proven track record managing enterprise-level projects across various sectors. His credentials include numerous certifications in advanced digital fields such as FinTech, Industry 4.0, Neuroscience for Business, Social Media Strategy, Data Monetization Strategy, Business Sustainability Management, Innovation and Design Thinking, Digital Transformation Management, AI, IoT, and Blockchain.
Mr. Knio’s core competencies include Technology Business Advising, storytelling, sales, business leadership, and startup mentoring.
