Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2020-14363

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An integer overflow vulnerability leading to a double-free was found in libX11. This flaw allows a local privileged attacker to cause an application compiled with libX11 to crash, or in some cases, result in arbitrary code execution. The highest threat from this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity as well as system availability.

CVE-2020-14330

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An Improper Output Neutralization for Logs flaw was found in Ansible when using the uri module, where sensitive data is exposed to content and json output. This flaw allows an attacker to access the logs or outputs of performed tasks to read keys used in playbooks from other users within the uri module. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.

CVE-2020-14332

Publication date:
11/09/2020
A flaw was found in the Ansible Engine when using module_args. Tasks executed with check mode (--check-mode) do not properly neutralize sensitive data exposed in the event data. This flaw allows unauthorized users to read this data. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.

CVE-2020-1598

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Windows Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) service improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code with elevated system privileges. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.<br /> To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would have to log on to an affected system and run a specially crafted script or application.<br /> The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Windows UPnP service handles objects in memory.

CVE-2020-1491

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows Function Discovery Service handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute code with elevated permissions.<br /> To exploit the vulnerability, a locally authenticated attacker could run a specially crafted application.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by ensuring the Windows Function Discovery Service properly handles objects in memory.

CVE-2020-1506

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that the Wininit.dll handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute code with elevated permissions.<br /> There are multiple ways an attacker could exploit the vulnerability:<br /> <br /> In a web-based attack scenario, an attacker could host a specially crafted website that is designed to exploit this vulnerability and then convince a user to view the website. An attacker would have no way to force users to view the attacker-controlled content. Instead, an attacker would have to convince users to take action, typically by getting them to click a link in an email message or in an Instant Messenger message that takes users to the attacker&amp;#39;s website, or by opening an attachment sent through email.<br /> <br /> In a file sharing attack scenario, an attacker could provide a specially crafted document file that is designed to exploit this vulnerability, and then convince a user to open the document file.<br /> <br /> <br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by ensuring the Wininit.dll properly handles objects in memory.

CVE-2020-1507

Publication date:
11/09/2020
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the way that Microsoft COM for Windows handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain elevated privileges on a targeted system.<br /> To exploit the vulnerability, a user would have to open a specially crafted file.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft COM for Windows handles objects in memory.

CVE-2020-1508

Publication date:
11/09/2020
A remote code execution vulnerability exists when Windows Media Audio Decoder improperly handles objects. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could take control of an affected system.<br /> There are multiple ways an attacker could exploit the vulnerability, such as by convincing a user to open a specially crafted document, or by convincing a user to visit a malicious webpage.<br /> The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows Media Audio Decoder handles objects.
