Alberto Urueña is Assistant Deputy Director of Studies at the National Observatory of Telecommunications and the Information Society of red.es and university professor and business schools. Alberto holds a PhD in Economics and Innovation Management from the ETSI of Industrialists at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), an Executive MBA from the Business Institute and a Telecommunications Engineering from the UPM. In the last fifteen years he has directed a wide variety of studies, reports and publications from the study center of the Spanish Administration responsible for monitoring the status and progress of telecommunications and the information society in Spain. It also has publications in impact journals of a scientific nature. Alberto's research focuses on the socio-technical and economic impact on society of various information systems, studying the phenomenon of technological change from the point of view of households, businesses and e-administration. His doctoral thesis, which obtained the highest rating, was awarded in 2014 as the best thesis in economics, management and regulation of telecommunications by the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers.
