Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2004-1527

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 does not properly handle certain character strings in the Path attribute, which can cause it to modify cookies in other domains when the attacker's domain name is within the target's domain name or when wildcard DNS is being used, which allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions.

CVE-2004-2219

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar to facilitate phishing attacks via Javascript that uses an invalid URI, modifies the Location field, then uses history.back to navigate to the previous domain, aka NullyFake.

CVE-2004-2291

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an embedded script that uses Shell Helper objects and a shortcut (link) to execute the target script.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2004-2383

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 through 6.0 allows remote attackers to bypass cross-frame scripting restrictions and capture keyboard events from other domains via an HTML document with Javascript that is outside a frameset that includes the target domain, then forcing the frameset to maintain focus. NOTE: the discloser claimed that the vendor does not categorize this as a vulnerability, but it can be used in a spoofing scenario; the discloser provides alternate scenarios. Spoofing scenarios are currently included in CVE.

CVE-2004-2476

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and crash) via an IFRAME with "?" as the file source.

CVE-2004-1416

Publication date:
31/12/2004
pnxr3260.dll in the RealOne 2.0 build 6.0.11.868 browser plugin, as used in Internet Explorer, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted embed tag.

CVE-2004-2704

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Hastymail 1.0.1 and earlier (stable) and 1.1 and earlier (development) does not send the "attachment" parameter in the Content-Disposition field for attachments, which causes the attachment to be rendered inline by Internet Explorer when the victim clicks the download link, which facilitates cross-site scripting (XSS) and possibly other attacks.

CVE-2004-2011

Publication date:
31/12/2004
msxml3.dll in Internet Explorer 6.0.2600.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a single & (ampersand) in a link, which triggers a parsing error, possibly due to missing portions of the URI.

CVE-2004-2307

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.2600 on Windows XP allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (browser crash) via a shell: URI with double backslashes (\\) in an HTML tag such as IFRAME or A.

CVE-2004-2466

Publication date:
31/12/2004
chat.ghp in Easy Chat Server 1.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (server crash) via a long username parameter, possibly due to a buffer overflow. NOTE: it was later reported that 2.2 is also affected.

CVE-2004-1481

Publication date:
31/12/2004
Integer overflow in pnen3260.dll in RealPlayer 8 through 10.5 (6.0.12.1040) and earlier, and RealOne Player 1 or 2 on Windows or Mac OS, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a SMIL file and a .rm movie file with a large length field for the data chunk, which leads to a heap-based buffer overflow.
