NVIDIA suffers cybersecurity incident

NVIDIA has reported a cybersecurity incident affecting its IT resources, according to media reports. The ransomware group LAPSUS$ was responsible for the attack. In its official statement, the manufacturer claimed that the attacker stole employee passwords, along with some of NVIDIA's proprietary information from its systems, and began leaking it online.

NVIDIA also reported the theft of two expired e-signature certificates, which were fraudulently signed, to gain access to computers and download malware. Shortly after discovering the incident, NVIDIA reinforced its network, hired cybersecurity incident response experts, and alerted the relevant authorities.
