Ferrari is the victim of a ransomware cyberattack
Ferrari SpA, the Italian subsidiary of Ferrari, has reported a data breach following a ransom demand received after a group of cybercriminals gained access to its IT infrastructure.
The communication, disseminated both on the company's website and by mail to customers, informs about the possible leakage of data, including names, home addresses, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
Ferrari has taken steps to protect the compromised systems and claims that the company's operations have not been affected. It has also reported the incident to the relevant authorities and is working with a cybersecurity firm to investigate the extent of the impact.
