José Antonio Vázquez Taín
Born in 1968 in Orense, graduated in law from the University of Santiago de Compostela, he entered the judicial career in 1998.
First destination in Vilagarcía de Arousa, where he exercises from 1999 to 2005, the year in which he started to exercise the direction of the Legal Studies Center of the Xunta, and the following year destined as Judge to Mataró. In 2007 he transferred to Coruña and in 2011 to the Court of Instruction nº2 of Santiago de Compostela. He currently practices in the Criminal Court 2 of Coruña.
During the periods of training as an instructor in Vilagarcía and Santiago, he had the opportunity to study complex causes for drug trafficking and money laundering, participating in and directing research coordinated by Eurojust and Olaf, as several countries are involved. In Santiago de Compostela, investigations such as the disappearance of the Codex Calixtino and other related organizations of laundering, narcotics trafficking, tobacco smuggling, allow him to reinforce the relationship with international coordination agencies.
