Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2018-5095

Publication date:
11/06/2018
An integer overflow vulnerability in the Skia library when allocating memory for edge builders on some systems with at least 8 GB of RAM. This results in the use of uninitialized memory, resulting in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5089

Publication date:
11/06/2018
Memory safety bugs were reported in Firefox 57 and Firefox ESR 52.5. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5099

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur when the widget listener is holding strong references to browser objects that have previously been freed, resulting in a potentially exploitable crash when these references are used. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2017-7845

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A buffer overflow occurs when drawing and validating elements using Direct 3D 9 with the ANGLE graphics library, used for WebGL content. This is due to an incorrect value being passed within the library during checks and results in a potentially exploitable crash. Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are unaffected. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2017-7834

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A "data:" URL loaded in a new tab did not inherit the Content Security Policy (CSP) of the original page, allowing for bypasses of the policy including the execution of JavaScript. In prior versions when "data:" documents also inherited the context of the original page this would allow for potential cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox
