Multiple Vulnerabilities in BugTracker.NET
BugTracker.NET 3.6.8
INCIBE has coordinated the disclosure of three high-severity vulnerabilities affecting BugTracker.NET, a free and open-source web application designed for tracking bugs and incidents. The vulnerabilities were discovered by Álvaro Monforte de la Huerga and Juan Gabriel Ruiz Fernández of the Ministry of Defense.
These vulnerabilities have been assigned the following codes, CVSS v4.0 base score, CVSS vector, and CWE vulnerability type:
- CVE-2026-92531: CVSS v4.0: 7.5 | CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N | CWE-78
- CVE-2026-92532: CVSS v4.0: 7.5 | CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N | CWE-434
- CVE-2026-92533: CVSS v4.0: 7.1 | CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N | CWE-22
No solution has been reported at this time.
CVE-2026-92531: Operating system command injection vulnerability in the SVN integration component of BugTracker.NET. The application incorporates the value of the field corresponding to the repository into an svn.exe command without properly validating it. An authenticated user with administrator privileges could store manipulated arguments in the database and subsequently cause them to be processed by the revision comparison functionality. A successful exploit could allow the execution of arbitrary commands with the privileges of the account used by the application. To exploit this vulnerability, svn.exe must be installed and capable of being invoked by the service.
CVE-2026-92532: Unrestricted file upload vulnerability in the BugTracker.NET attachment functionality. An authenticated user with administrator privileges could modify the application configuration to store files in a directory accessible via the web interface. Due to the lack of proper file extension validation, an attacker could upload a malicious ASPX file and subsequently execute it on the server. A successful exploit could allow arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the account used by the web service.
CVE-2026-92533: Path traversal vulnerability in the BugTracker.NET file download component. The parameter used to specify the file name does not properly validate user-supplied paths. An authenticated remote attacker could enter a manipulated path to access files located outside the intended directory. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to read system files accessible to the account used by the application.
