Arrested for multiple cyberattacks and sale of information

The Spanish National Police has arrested a Spanish citizen accused in the Spanish National Court for his alleged participation in a crime against high state institutions, discovery, disclosure of secrets (illegitimate access to databases) and money laundering in a continuous manner.

The accused, who acted under the pseudonym Alcasec, is considered responsible for multiple high-profile cyberattacks, such as the one carried out on the CGPJ's computer systems through the Judicial Neutral Point, and for the creation of a search engine called Udyat to create a database with the stolen information and oriented as a service for consultations and the sale of illicit information to third parties.
