Adif, hit by ransomware

Adif, a public company that manages railway infrastructures in Spain, acknowledged having suffered a ransomware-type cybercrime, executed by the group of cybercriminals known as REVil.

This group has shared images of the stolen information, including contracts, invoices, private correspondence, telephone numbers, customer data, certificates, files, tariffs and internal reports, up to a total of 800 gb of data.

Adif assures that the attack has been controlled by its internal security services without the need to make the payment required by the criminals. They also indicate that at no time has their infrastructure been affected, guaranteeing at all times the proper functioning of all their services.
