Bad Rabbit, this is the name of the new ransomware that has infected devices located mainly in Russia, also affecting other countries such as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Japan, Germany and Turkey, being the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the public transport network of Kiev its first objectives.

This ransomware is spread through an infected version of Adobe Flash Player that the user downloads believing that it is a new software update. Bad Rabbit encrypts the information of the infected device and asks for a rescue of 0.05 Bitcoin in exchange for recovering it, an amount that increases as time passes and blackmail has not been accessed.

Currently, a solution is available that prevents the possible infection of computers and has slowed down the expansion of malware.
