Customer data leakage at AT&T

AT&T has confirmed a data breach affecting 73 million customers. The breach includes names, addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers and dates of birth. Although AT&T has claimed that its systems were not compromised, it has been confirmed that the data belongs to its customers.

In addition, the security codes of 7.6 million customers were compromised as part of the breach and have already been reset. The company will notify all affected customers and provide details on how to protect their accounts.

Finally, AT&T has reported that the data appears to be from 2019 and earlier and does not contain personal financial information or call history.
