Indian pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s has been forced to close several of its production plants in different countries and isolate its affected data centers due to a ransomware-type incident.

The security incident was identified on October 22, at which time an investigation and a containment process began at the hands of hired cybersecurity experts.

The company claims that there has been no unauthorized access to data and according to Mukesh Rathi, CIO of the company, this incident will not have a significant impact on the company thanks to the preventive measures adopted.

Currently, all operations are being restored in a gradual and controlled manner.
