Google withdraws applications from the developer DO Global from Play Store

Google has removed applications from the Chinese developer of DO Global software, including file manager ES File Explorer, from its Google Play store due to fraud in its advertising system and abuse of data access permissions.

Their applications, which have 800 million unique users per month and more than 600 million downloads, were performing unauthorized clicks on ads when running in the background.

The company has issued a statement in which, after investigating what happened, recognize irregularities in some of its products, understand and accept Google's decision and agree to continue reviewing all applications involved.
