Information leak at France's employment agency

Pôle emploi, the French government's unemployment registration and financial aid agency, has reported a data breach that exposed the information of approximately 10 million people.

The agency has clarified that the incident does not affect its financial assistance programmes and that jobseekers should feel safe in accessing the online job portal at "pole-employment.fr" using their passwords.

Furthermore, although the exposed data is of limited use in cybercrime operations, Pôle emploi has advised registered job seekers to be careful with incoming communications and has set up a dedicated helpline to address any questions and concerns that exposed individuals may have about the incident.
