Information leak in Microsoft account on GitHub

A cybercriminal has accessed the private repositories of the profile on Microsoft's GitHub and has stolen about 500 GB of information. The stolen data corresponds mainly to code samples, test projects, an e-book and also some generic articles.

Mass media, such as BleepingComputer and ZDNet, have confirmed with several Microsoft employees that at least a small part of the stolen files are authentic, but that the cyberattacker did not gain access to the source code of any of Microsoft's major projects, such as Windows. and Office.

A Microsoft spokesperson has told the media that the company is investigating the incident.
