Information leak in Swisscom affects 800,000 customers

Swisscom, a Swiss telecommunications company, suffered an information leak at the end of last year that affected 800,000 customers. The information leak occurred due to the theft of the access credentials of one of the members of the organization.

According to Swisscom, the filtering did not affect confidential data, such as calls, messages or bank details. The affected data are: name, postal address, telephone number and date of birth.

The company has reported that security measures have increased since they knew the security incident to minimize the risks to future events such as the one they suffered.
