Interpol discovers in Asia thousands of Command and Control servers

Through research conducted by the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in collaboration with several private companies, cybersecurity experts have discovered 8800 servers and 270 websites infected by different types of malware. The servers discovered in several Southeast Asian countries hosted malware that would facilitate the distribution of ransomware, spreading spam and allow DDoS attacks. Among the web affected would be sites that could contain personal data of citizens.
