Keylogger in HP driver

Researchers from Switzerland's modzero firm have discovered the existence of a keylogger in an audio driver included into several models of Hewlett-Packard notebooks. The driver, distributed by the company Conexant Systems Inc., would record keystrokes in an unencrypted text file accessible to any process via the C:\Users\Public\MicTray.log local path.

For now, neither Hewlett-Packard Inc. or Conexant Systems Inc. have made any public declaration about this discovery.
