Mapfre suffers from ransomware cyberattack

The Spanish multinational Mapfre, dedicated to the insurance and reinsurance sector, has published an official note in which it acknowledges having been the victim of a ransomware-type cyberattack against its computer systems.

As clarified in the statement, the service continues to be provided normally, although for certain operations it is necessary to apply the alternative procedures established in its PCN (Business Continuity Plan).

As the CEO of the company has indicated, the priority is that the service received by its customers is not harmed, in addition to protecting information and blocking any possible third-party access attempt to the company's systems.
