"Massive hack" against Macron campaign
Posted date 08/05/2017
During the French presidential elections, the new president-elect Emmanuel Macron was victim of a massive piracy campaign that concluded with the publication through internet of several Gigas of confidential information about the candidate and his group En Marche!. Among the stolen information would be financial data, budgets and emails. According to Macron's group, the dissemination of the stolen data would have taken place hours before the elections, which would be a clear attempt to manipulate the democratic process.
