New data breach at T-Mobile

Network operator T-Mobile has reported a data breach, due to a SIM-Swapping cyberattack against its customers which were perpetrated by unknown cybercriminals.

The unauthorized activity was quickly detected and stopped. Compromised information includes names, physical addresses, emails, account numbers, social security numbers, PINs, dates of birth, number of lines and plan data.

In response, T-Mobile has implemented new security measures and it is offering a free credit monitoring and identity theft detection service. Likewise, it recommends changing account PIN to its customers.
