New security incident at T-Mobile

The company T-Mobile has confirmed a security incident due to an unauthorised and malicious access to certain information by at least 0,2% of its customers.

The incident compromised data related to Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) including telephone numbers, number of lines contracted and, in some cases, call records. On the other hand, account names, physical addresses, e-mails, financial data, credit cards, social security numbers, tax identification numbers and passwords were not affected.

In response, an investigation was launched, the relevant authorities were informed and all potential customers concerned are being alerted.
