Personal information leak at Revolut

The neobank Revolut has reported a cyberattack on its systems, which gave an unauthorised third party access to sensitive information of some 50,150 customers (0.16% of the global total), 20,687 of which are in the European Economic Area.

The attack, carried out using social engineering techniques (phishing), exposed customer data such as name, address, email, telephone number, partial payment card information...

The company stated that it is communicating with customers whose personal data confidentiality was compromised during this incident, and continues to investigate the incident.
