Revealed private data of 31,000 domains

The signature UpGuard, has made public an unsafe storage bucket of Amazon S3, which was public access and contained private data of 31,000 GoDaddy domains.

Of the exposed data, highlights a spreadsheet that contained:

  • information about the use of AWS on the GoDaddy servers (including price and discount agreements),
  • server configuration information,
  • memory and CPU specifications,
  • host names,
  • operating systems,

Although these datas is very important for the rest of Amazon customers, the real danger of this leak is that a criminal could carry out Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks with much greater effectiveness.
