The Russian cybercriminal, Aleksei Burkov, pleaded guilty

On charges of access fraud to electronic devices, conspiracy to commit computer intrusion, identity theft, money laundering and illegal transfers, the 29-year-old Russian citizen, Aleksei Burkov, has pleaded guilty before a United States judge.

The cybercriminal, who ran two websites for illegal purposes, one called Cardplanet for selling stolen card numbers, and the other for disseminating of achievements made by cybercriminals, is facing 15 years in prison. The sentence is scheduled on May 8 of this year.
