Security breach exposes Quora user data

Quora, a social network of questions and answers, has suffered a security incident that, according to the company itself, has affected 100 million of its users.

Adam D'Angelo, Quora's CEO, explained that the breach was discovered on November 30, 2018, and that the company's security team has initiated an investigation to determine the causes, in collaboration with an external security firm.

The compromised information includes user names, email addresses, public content (questions and answers), private content (messages) and encrypted passwords, as well as social network data, if users had linked them to their Quora account.
