The Spanish Police dismantle an international band dedicated to the commercialization of malware

Spanish National Police agents have managed to dismantle a band of cybercriminals dedicated to design, development and sell malicious software online. The malware would allow the distribution of remote control Trojans, keyloggers and backdoors that would facilitate full control of the infected computer and the theft of confidential information. The investigation, which concluded with the arrest of five people (three in Spain and two in the United Kingdom) and the seizure of computer equipment, was coordinated by EUROPOL and counted on the participation of the Technological Research Unit of the Spanish National Police, The National TITAN Cybercrime Unit of the United Kingdom and the threat investigation service of the IT company Trend Micro.
