Suspected Russian hacker accused of Cyberespionage in the US elections arrested in Barcelona

The Russian consulate in Barcelona has confirmed the arrest of the Russian citizen Piotr Levashov by the Spanish police. The arrest was made on the basis of an International extradition request issued by the US authorities regarding Levashov's alleged involvement in cyberespionage  activities during the past presidential elections. The American justice has now 40 days to provide the necessary documentation to allow the extradition of the alleged Russian hacker to US territory.
