Thousands of GoDaddy customers affected by a SSL certificate validation process error

The American company GoDaddy, dedicated to hosting services and domain management, has confirmed the detection on January 6 of a code error in its SSL certificate validation software. This error produced under certain conditions a failure in the process of validation of the domain, which would mean that the certificate would not be completely safe despite being validated. GoDaddy has proceeded to revoke more than 9000 affected certificates (belonging to more than 6000 clients) and to issue them again.
