Toll Group stops its services because of a ransomware

The Australian company of transport and logistics, Toll Group, has been obligated to disable some of its systems after a ransomware attack.

The security incident took place on Friday, 31st January, without any evidence about personal data lost.

As response to the incident, several specific systems were disabled and isolated to prevent malware spread and the corresponding continuity plan was activated. Manual management was also used to replace the disabled systems in order to keep providing service to customers.

Toll’s IT equipment keeps working, together with relevant authorities, to resolve the problem and restore service as soon as possible.
