Torre Pacheco Town Hall suffers cyberattack that compromises personal data

The Torre Pacheco Town Hall has suffered a cyberattack that has compromised the operability and security of its citizens' personal data. The attack, perpetrated by ransomware, was discovered when the Local Police lost access to the municipal servers, finding them encrypted.

In response, emergency protocols were activated, notifying the IT Service of the Autonomous Community and the National Cryptological Centre (CCN) of the incident. The mayor, Pedro Ángel Roca, reported the incident to the Guardia Civil and set up a crisis committee to manage the situation.

The compromised data includes sensitive citizen information and administrative procedures. The municipality has urged caution and provided a communication channel to report any possible incidents. In the meantime, work is underway to recover information and restore affected services, keeping the public informed of progress.
