Twitter confirms a vulnerability that has affected the data of its users

The company Twitter, on an official statement published on its website, from the privacy center, has reported an incident that has allowed the theft of data from some of its user accounts.

The information published reports the incident was caused by a vulnerability discovered by a cybersecurity researcher outside the company. This flaw was corrected in January 2022 when the researcher contacted the company, but according to Twitter, an attacker who knew about this Zero-Day used it prior to its correction, thus gaining access to user data. According to different sources, the data leak has reached 5.4 million users of the platform.
