The University of Cádiz suffers a ransomware cyberattack

The University of Cádiz has reported to the Spanish National Police having suffered a cyberattack against hundreds of its corporate email accounts with messages from the account anonym@incibe.es253.

In its official statement, the UCA Board of Directors urges the university community not to open the emails, given the danger that the final document is not really a legitimate PDF, but rather a malicious file that triggers a ransomware cyberattack that encrypts the files on the computer and those located on shared network drives.
