Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2019-9791

Publication date:
26/04/2019
The type inference system allows the compilation of functions that can cause type confusions between arbitrary objects when compiled through the IonMonkey just-in-time (JIT) compiler and when the constructor function is entered through on-stack replacement (OSR). This allows for possible arbitrary reading and writing of objects during an exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird

CVE-2019-9792

Publication date:
26/04/2019
The IonMonkey just-in-time (JIT) compiler can leak an internal JS_OPTIMIZED_OUT magic value to the running script during a bailout. This magic value can then be used by JavaScript to achieve memory corruption, which results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird

CVE-2019-9790

Publication date:
26/04/2019
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur when a raw pointer to a DOM element on a page is obtained using JavaScript and the element is then removed while still in use. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird

CVE-2018-18509

Publication date:
26/04/2019
A flaw during verification of certain S/MIME signatures causes emails to be shown in Thunderbird as having a valid digital signature, even if the shown message contents aren't covered by the signature. The flaw allows an attacker to reuse a valid S/MIME signature to craft an email message with arbitrary content. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird

CVE-2018-18511

Publication date:
26/04/2019
Cross-origin images can be read from a canvas element in violation of the same-origin policy using the transferFromImageBitmap method. *Note: This only affects Firefox 65. Previous versions are unaffected.*. This vulnerability affects Firefox

CVE-2018-18512

Publication date:
26/04/2019
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur while playing a sound notification in Thunderbird. The memory storing the sound data is immediately freed, although the sound is still being played asynchronously, leading to a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5124

Publication date:
26/04/2019
Unsanitized output in the browser UI leaves HTML tags in place and can result in arbitrary code execution in Firefox before version 58.0.1.

CVE-2018-18510

Publication date:
26/04/2019
The about:crashcontent and about:crashparent pages can be triggered by web content. These pages are used to crash the loaded page or the browser for test purposes. This issue allows for a non-persistent denial of service (DOS) attack by a malicious site which links to these pages. This vulnerability affects Firefox

CVE-2018-18513

Publication date:
26/04/2019
A crash can occur when processing a crafted S/MIME message or an XPI package containing a crafted signature. This can be used as a denial-of-service (DOS) attack because Thunderbird reopens the last seen message on restart, triggering the crash again. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird

CVE-2015-9284

Publication date:
26/04/2019
The request phase of the OmniAuth Ruby gem (1.9.1 and earlier) is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery when used as part of the Ruby on Rails framework, allowing accounts to be connected without user intent, user interaction, or feedback to the user. This permits a secondary account to be able to sign into the web application as the primary account.
