Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2018-5180

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur during WebGL operations. While this results in a potentially exploitable crash, the vulnerability is limited because the memory is freed and reused in a brief window of time during the freeing of the same callstack. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5175

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A mechanism to bypass Content Security Policy (CSP) protections on sites that have a "script-src" policy of "'strict-dynamic'". If a target website contains an HTML injection flaw an attacker could inject a reference to a copy of the "require.js" library that is part of Firefox's Developer Tools, and then use a known technique using that library to bypass the CSP restrictions on executing injected scripts. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5178

Publication date:
11/06/2018
A buffer overflow was found during UTF8 to Unicode string conversion within JavaScript with extremely large amounts of data. This vulnerability requires the use of a malicious or vulnerable legacy extension in order to occur. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird ESR
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5183

Publication date:
11/06/2018
Mozilla developers backported selected changes in the Skia library. These changes correct memory corruption issues including invalid buffer reads and writes during graphic operations. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird ESR
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5170

Publication date:
11/06/2018
It is possible to spoof the filename of an attachment and display an arbitrary attachment name. This could lead to a user opening a remote attachment which is a different file type than expected. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird ESR
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5161

Publication date:
11/06/2018
Crafted message headers can cause a Thunderbird process to hang on receiving the message. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird ESR
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5169

Publication date:
11/06/2018
If manipulated hyperlinked text with "chrome:" URL contained in it is dragged and dropped on the "home" icon, the home page can be reset to include a normally-unlinkable chrome page as one of the home page tabs. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5164

Publication date:
11/06/2018
Content Security Policy (CSP) is not applied correctly to all parts of multipart content sent with the "multipart/x-mixed-replace" MIME type. This could allow for script to run where CSP should block it, allowing for cross-site scripting (XSS) and other attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5167

Publication date:
11/06/2018
The web console and JavaScript debugger do not sanitize all output that can be hyperlinked. Both will display "chrome:" links as active, clickable hyperlinks in their output. Web sites should not be able to directly link to internal chrome pages. Additionally, the JavaScript debugger will display "javascript:" links, which users could be tricked into clicking by malicious sites. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5173

Publication date:
11/06/2018
The filename appearing in the "Downloads" panel improperly renders some Unicode characters, allowing for the file name to be spoofed. This can be used to obscure the file extension of potentially executable files from user view in the panel. Note: the dialog to open the file will show the full, correct filename and whether it is executable or not. This vulnerability affects Firefox
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2018-5153

Publication date:
11/06/2018
If websocket data is sent with mixed text and binary in a single message, the binary data can be corrupted. This can result in an out-of-bounds read with the read memory sent to the originating server in response. This vulnerability affects Firefox
