The Colombian Banking Association and Financial Entities – Asobancaria, with over 80 years of history, has been a key player in representing and defending the interests of the Colombian banking sector. Our mission has been to promote public trust in the financial system, driving initiatives that enhance the sector's security and stability.
At 18ENISE, Asobancaria proudly presents its Financial CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), a pioneering initiative in the region, recognized as the first collaborative incident response team for the banking industry. This innovative project aims to strengthen the community of cyber intelligence exchange by establishing an organized approach to incident management and encouraging the sector's participation in global cybersecurity communities. Currently, 29 financial institutions, representing 91% of the sector's assets, are integrated into our platform.
Asobancaria's goals at 18ENISE include:
- Strengthening Strategic Alliances: Establish and solidify relationships with international cybersecurity organizations to share best practices and advanced technologies that reinforce the security of the Colombian financial sector.
- Promoting Cybersecurity Innovation: Explore and adopt new technologies and approaches in cybersecurity, driving innovation within the financial sector to anticipate and mitigate emerging threats.
- Developing Global Capabilities: Expand the capabilities of the Financial CSIRT on an international level, positioning it as a regional leader and fostering its participation in global cyber intelligence exchange networks.
- Advancing Education and Awareness: Promote cybersecurity training and awareness programs for financial institutions, aiming to elevate the level of preparedness and response to potential incidents.
