Total disruption of GSS services due to a ransomware

The Spanish and Latin American division of the Covisian Group, GSS, one of the main contact center service providers in Europe, has been victim of a ransomware cyberattack, causing a downfall of all its IT systems, except those belonging to Google, and consequently an interruption of the services offered by many of its customers.

In response to the incident, the company acted according to its protocol, shutting down all systems on affected networks. Currently, compromised devices are being analysed and disinfected in order to restore services and, at the same time, the company is working with the Data Protection Delegate to comply with the GDPR.
