Vulnerabilities

With the aim of informing, warning and helping professionals with the latest security vulnerabilities in technology systems, we have made a database available for users interested in this information, which is in Spanish and includes all of the latest documented and recognised vulnerabilities.

This repository, with over 75,000 registers, is based on the information from the NVD (National Vulnerability Database) – by virtue of a partnership agreement – through which INCIBE translates the included information into Spanish.

On occasions this list will show vulnerabilities that have still not been translated, as they are added while the INCIBE team is still carrying out the translation process. The CVE  (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) Standard for Information Security Vulnerability Names is used with the aim to support the exchange of information between different tools and databases.

All vulnerabilities collected are linked to different information sources, as well as available patches or solutions provided by manufacturers and developers. It is possible to carry out advanced searches, as there is the option to select different criteria to narrow down the results, some examples being vulnerability types, manufacturers and impact levels, among others.

Through RSS feeds or Newsletters we can be informed daily about the latest vulnerabilities added to the repository. Below there is a list, updated daily, where you can discover the latest vulnerabilities.

CVE-2012-6638

Publication date:
15/02/2014
The tcp_rcv_state_process function in net/ipv4/tcp_input.c in the Linux kernel before 3.2.24 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (kernel resource consumption) via a flood of SYN+FIN TCP packets, a different vulnerability than CVE-2012-2663.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-2909

Publication date:
15/02/2014
The do_devinfo_ioctl function in drivers/staging/comedi/comedi_fops.c in the Linux kernel before 3.1 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via a copy of a short string.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2013-0346

Publication date:
15/02/2014
Apache Tomcat 7.x uses world-readable permissions for the log directory and its files, which might allow local users to obtain sensitive information by reading a file. NOTE: One Tomcat distributor has stated "The tomcat log directory does not contain any sensitive information."

CVE-2012-2663

Publication date:
15/02/2014
extensions/libxt_tcp.c in iptables through 1.4.21 does not match TCP SYN+FIN packets in --syn rules, which might allow remote attackers to bypass intended firewall restrictions via crafted packets. NOTE: the CVE-2012-6638 fix makes this issue less relevant.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-1831

Publication date:
15/02/2014
utils/mount.ecryptfs_private.c in ecryptfs-utils before 90 does not properly check mountpoint permissions, which allows local users to effectively replace any directory with a new filesystem, and consequently gain privileges, via a mount system call.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis
Last modification:

CVE-2011-1832

Publication date:
15/02/2014
utils/mount.ecryptfs_private.c in ecryptfs-utils before 90 does not properly check mountpoint permissions, which allows local users to remove directories via a umount system call.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-1834

Publication date:
15/02/2014
utils/mount.ecryptfs_private.c in ecryptfs-utils before 90 does not properly maintain the mtab file during error conditions, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (table corruption) or bypass intended unmounting restrictions via a umount system call.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis
Last modification:

CVE-2011-1835

Publication date:
15/02/2014
The encrypted private-directory setup process in utils/ecryptfs-setup-private in ecryptfs-utils before 90 does not properly ensure that the passphrase file is created, which might allow local users to bypass intended access restrictions at a certain time in the new-user creation steps.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-1836

Publication date:
15/02/2014
utils/ecryptfs-recover-private in ecryptfs-utils before 90 does not establish a subdirectory with safe permissions, which might allow local users to bypass intended access restrictions via standard filesystem operations during the recovery process.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-1837

Publication date:
15/02/2014
The lock-counter implementation in utils/mount.ecryptfs_private.c in ecryptfs-utils before 90 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis

CVE-2011-2500

Publication date:
15/02/2014
The host_reliable_addrinfo function in support/export/hostname.c in nfs-utils before 1.2.4 does not properly use DNS to verify access to NFS exports, which allows remote attackers to mount filesystems by establishing crafted DNS A and PTR records.
Severity CVSS v4.0: Pending analysis
