Expert in Cybersecurity, he is a Computer Engineer by the UPM and has a Master in Auditing and Information Security by the UPM, he has different certifications such as CISA or CISM.

He has worked for more than 20 years in different positions related to software development, cybersecurity and R&D&I. His research on the security of instant messaging applications and his work on dynamic application instrumentation techniques stand out. He has been able to present his work at major national and international cybersecurity conferences.

He is currently founder and director of the cybersecurity company VAPASEC. Previously he worked for companies such as Telefónica and Optenet. VAPASEC is a global cybersecurity provider that works to improve and optimize the digital protection of organizations.

Born in Salamanca in 1986, he studied journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid. He was sworn in as a National Police Inspector in 2021, has been second in Group at the UCRIF of the Alien Brigade of the Provincial Police Station of Tenerife, Head of Press of the Provincial Police Station of Tenerife, second in Group of the Section of Analysis of Encrypted Platforms in the Central UDYCO, of which he has been Head of Group since April 2024.

He has held various roles in the field of information/intelligence, including Deputy Head of the Cyberterrorism Group, Liaison Officer at the Armed Forces Intelligence Center and currently a member of the NATO Center of Excellence CIED. He has participated in missions abroad including Afghanistan and Kosovo.

He is in possession of the courses Superior of Information, Superior of Intelligence, Advanced of Intelligence and Security, Cryptologist Specialist, STIC Management or TEDAX. He also holds a Master's Degree in Intelligence Analysis and Cyber Intelligence as well as a Master's Degree in Digital Evidence Analysis and Combating Cybercrime.

She was sworn in as Inspector of National Police since 2005, being her first destination the Provincial Police Station of Malaga where she developed jobs in the Information Brigade and later in the Judicial Police in the fraud section.In 2007 she was assigned to the General Commissariat of Judicial Police developing jobs in the Central Narcotics Brigade.From 2013 she was Head of the Fugitive Group and from 2018 to 2022 she was Liaison Officer in Martinique .In 2023 she was promoted to the category of Chief Inspector taking possession of the position she currently holds.

Ricardo J. Rodríguez es Doctor en Informática e Ingeniería de Sistemas por la Universidad de Zaragoza desde 2013. Actualmente, trabaja como Profesor Titular en la misma universidad. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen el análisis de sistemas complejos, con especial énfasis en el rendimiento y su seguridad, el forense digital y el análisis de aplicaciones binarias. Participa como ponente habitual y profesor de talleres técnicos en numerosas conferencias de seguridad del sector industrial, como NoConName, Hack.LU, RootedCON, Hack in Paris, MalCON, SSTIC CCN-CERT, o Hack in the Box Amsterdam, entre otras. Degree in Law and Criminology from the University of Valencia. She joined the judicial career in 1989 and has held various positions, specializing in criminal law. She has been a judge in the National Court and in the special service since February 2023, currently holding the position of Head of the Inspection Service, in functions. University lecturer at the Uned and the University of Valencia, in school of legal practice, law degree (criminal law department) and master's degree in law and procedural guarantees. Lecturer in other institutions and speaker at Bar Associations especially in criminal procedural issues, human trafficking, cybercrime and victim protection. Member of the working group in the Ministry of Justice and the CGPJ on the Draft Bill of Criminal Procedure Law 2020.

Analyst at the think tank Real Instituto Elcano where she is in charge of the technology and international policy agenda, and Project Lead in the first project on technology foreign policy at the EUI in collaboration with DG CONNECT and the SEAE, she is a former Fulbright scholar in Washington, DC, and has worked as an independent expert for the European Commission, Inter-American Development Bank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Spain and the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University.

Mercedes has more than 7 years of experience working in offensive cybersecurity where she has participated in conferences such as IntelCON, C1b3rWall or UAD360. She is also part of Securiters, a project in which she shares cybersecurity knowledge through the events they organize and on their platform.
