The main tasks of his Department are the training of the Administration's specialist security staff, the development of CCN policies, guidelines and reports (CCN-STIC Series and CCN-CERT Reports), the development of cybersecurity tools to support the public sector, the supervision of system accreditation and the performance of security audits.

I started working in the IT Service of the University of Cádiz. From 1997 until 2014 I was the Director IT Service, first in the University of Burgos and afterwards in the Technical University of Cartagena. In 2017 and 2018 I worked as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the University of Alcalá and since 2019 I am the CISO of the Technical University of Cartagena. 
In 2018 I started also as coordinator of the cibersecurity working group in CRUE (Spanish Universities).

Graduate in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, Master in Public Management (Centro Superior de Estudios de Gestión Análisis y Evaluación UCM), Master in Leadership and Public Management (UIMP-INAP), expert in Policy Evaluation and Quality of Services (AEVAL-UCM) and Diploma in "New forms of leadership and political transformation" (EILx- Goberna).

He has extensive experience in smart territories, as he has held responsibilities in this field as a member of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda, as well as being the coordinator of the National Plan for Smart Territories and president of the Technical Committee for Standardisation 178 of UNE (Smart Cities) (October 2013/July 2018).

I have a degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and I have been a civil servant in the Senior Corps of Information Systems and Technologies of the State Administration since 2007. In February 2021 I joined the Department of National Security of the Presidency of the Government, as Technical Advisor in the Cybersecurity Unit and against disinformation.
